Etude House: Eraser Show Cleansing Serum [Review]

Hello lovely person~!
I hope your day is going well! Anyways, after visiting the Etude House store on a weekly basis because of work, I was starting to get weary of their products since of course the store is not updated on a daily basis, so I've seen lots of the same products..lots of times haha.
But I happened to see this product for the first time and I was a bit excited!..hesitant but excited! But for only about $7 who wouldn't be excited!
no makeup!

Eraser Show Cleansing Serum!
They also had a similar product but specifically meant for the eyes and eyelashes, but this product said it can remove eye makeup so then I just decided to get this one item >w<!

Eraser Show Cleansing Serum Description:
Infused with Argan Oil and Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, this serum-like cleanser soothes and moisturizes skin while melting away all makeup, including eye makeup, leaving skin soft, and feeling refreshed and clean.

Instructions:
☆ Massage onto dry skin, including eye area
☆Rinse well with warm water

little nozzle! cute~!

I was a bit hesitant to try this product. When I tried the baking powder cleanser, which is supposed to get off all makeup, it couldn't get my eyeliner off, so I was worried about that. Also when I usually take off my makeup, I just use olive oil - like Michelle Phan hehe >w< - and the olive oil already works really well for me, so I was a little doubtful that this product could do better - but I was shocked!

Here, I was using dolly wink eyeliner and then used the serum to get it off, then washed with warm water. The texture of the serum is almost the same as using olive oil, so it more so felt like I was trying to wash oil off my hand. But when I took my hand out of the water and dried it, it was sooooooo soft!

**yeah I kind of have a rash on my face after an allergic reaction to a topical medicine><

What I'm wearing:
Maybelline Lasting Drama Eyeliner
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream
Too Faced Natural Face Palette
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Urban Decay Primer & Eyeshadows

I didn't need much product to cover my face and get my makeup off, and that was great! As I said before, it felt a lot like olive oil being put on my face, except the smell was way better! The smell kind of reminds me of like the Vaseline cream smell, which is good >w< But after a few seconds of rubbing, I was so surprised how fast my mascara and eyeliner came off! It usually never comes off so fast, even when I use olive oil! And after washing, my skin felt so incredibly soft! like baby skin! I will definitely be recommending this product to others hehe >w<!

So~ in Summary~

♡Likes♡
nice smell, pretty subtle
very gentle on skin
gets off all makeup
skin is very soft after

Dislikes
oily feeling

Thanks for reading!♡Hope this was helpful!
Have you tried this product? What do you think?

Koji Dolly Wink by Tsubasa Masuwaka - Eyelashes #10 Sweet Cat [Review]

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog today!
I don't usually wear fake lashes ..but when I do..it doesn't turn out well...
**but that doesn't stop me from buying more hehe**

lately i've been growing more and more interested in natural looking eye lashes~
so I decided to try out these lashes ^_^ they're quite long, but it looks natural to me

very cute packaging! I'd expect nothing less from Tsubasa ^__^

very cute circle lens and eyelash combo~!

The lashes are so very soft! they feel almost real! I really like how real they feel and look!
I also really like that the lashes are  longer and more concentrated at the ends to make the eyes look bigger ^_^ they make my eyes look so big and I don't even have to use lenses! I actually never noticed how much fake eyelashes would accentuate the eyes! O,O ~! woohoo

The glue that came with the lashes is actually really good!

Here is what the lashes look like - sorry the picture is blurry x_x

Anyway~ in Summary~

♡Likes♡
natural texture - so soft!
very natural looking
long ~!
makes the eyes look bigger
glue that comes with it is great!

Have you ever tried Dolly Wink Eyelashes? What do you think of them?
If not, would you like to try?

Let me know in the comments ^__^

5 December Faves! [2013]

Hello~!~!
Thanks for visiting my blog today~
These are some items I absolutely love to use for winter time from makeup to skincare things :)
These would also be great gifts ^_^!

1. Lotion!
My favorite:
I love this lotion in particular because it is so light and the smell is so very sweet and subtle I can use it daytime and nighttime ^_^! Moisturizing your skin - no matter the skin type - is so very crucial to your skin care routine! try not to skip it ^_^
HERE Discovery Health explains why, it's mostly about the face and why it's important to moisturize your face, but the rest of your body is just as important!
How do you know if your skin needs some loving? Take your nail and make a small scratch on an area of your choice, if said area turns white, then you need some lotion ^__^ - tip from my mama bear

2. Red, Red Lips!

My favorite:
This year's winter trend is super red, red, red, lips! Why? I'm not sure to be honest. I think it is because red contrasts nicely with the usually white image of christmas (like snow). Or maybe because the christmas colors are red, green, and white? Not too sure, but I LOVE IT! I really like Etude House's tint because it's really cheap and easy to apply, and lasts quite long ^_^

3. Brown Eyebrows!

My favorite:
Heavy Rotation's Eyebrow Coloring
Brown eyebrows and RED lips! quite a combination huh~? Did you know? Lighter eyebrows make you look younger ^_^! I didn't know that but it's a thing apparently! I really like heavy rotation's because it's easy to use and even if I make a mistake and accidentally get my skin, then I can easily wipe it off with my nail or a damp cotton ball ^_^

4. Great Brush~!

My Favorite:
Sephora Collection: Pro Flawless Light Powder Brush #50
I recently got this as a gift and I absolutely love it! The bristles are just so soft it leaves a super smooth, natural finish that doesn't make it look like I caked on a bunch of makeup, and doesn't show my dry skin when I have that x___x. Looks like I have an airbrushed finish! I really didn't think that the brush quality was so important but WOW I'm amazed!

5. BB Cream!
My favorite:
Smashbox's Camera Ready BB Cream
** I think on my tumblr someone had asked what makeup I use and I accidentally said Makeup Forever >__< I actually meant to say smashbox, need to go change that!
The package is quite small and the sunscreen smell is really strong in my opinion ;-;
but other than that, I really love this BB cream! It's about the same price as the Banila Co. one I usually use, but I think this BB Cream is easier to apply and doesn't show my dry skin, which is great and goes on so smoothly it really is awesome ^__^!

What are your favorite products this winter season~??

Too Faced: Natural Radiance Palette - Supermodel Sculpt Makeup Card

Hello~!

If you saw my review on the Too Faced Palette you'll know that it came with 3 little makeup tutorials!
I wasn't too excited about the tutorials because 2/3 suggested putting the bronzing veil on my nose bridge..and since I have a very small nose, I didn't want to do that =3= Also it is very hard to do contouring tutorials (I think) because everyone's face shape is different and naturally the makeup will not look the same on everyone~ anyway~ I ended up deciding to try the Supermodel Sculpt card that was provided.

I decided to try the supermodel sculpt ^_^

my face no makeup ...good morning by the way

with the supermodel sculpt!
I think I should have made the colors darker, I layered all the powders twice but it I don't think it can be seen in the pictures

* casually listening to selena gomez and my camera went off, I am not a model *
LOL is this still a thing?! xwx

I showed the makeup to my friends and they all commented that they like my regular everyday makeup better...although I like the luminizer on the cupid's bow in this picture ^___^

But anyway just something I wanted to try ..I absolutely LOVE the luminizer in this palette! still love it lots, but don't much care for the tutorial cards x__x

Too Faced: Natural Face Natural Radiance Face Palette [Review]

Hello my lovelies~!
It's 5:30 in the morning here in tokyo and I can't sleep ^_^
so I thought I'd write a quick review about the
Too Faced Natural Face Palette!
I was originally looking/hoping for Michelle Phan's contouring stick to be sold in sephora so I could get some points even though there's no sephora in Japan..but sadly she doesn't have her line in sephora :(
so I decided to find another contouring type thing to try :) I decided on the natural face palette!, it's a little pricey (about $40 x_x) but i have had my share of bad makeup used for contouring (you'll see later) and this was worth the investment!

I always love the simple elegance look of Too Faced products :))

it comes with 3 cards for makeup tutorials, I haven't tried them yet, not sure if I will..these cards were so hard to take out haha, after putting them back in, I'm not sure if I want to even attempt to try to take them out again...

So top palette is the palette I used to use for my contouring..and bottom is the too faced palette..
I feel like the too faced palette is a massive improvement to my contouring makeup xwx!

The Too Faced palette comes with: bronze veil, powder blush, creme blush, cream concealer, cream luminize, and finally a cream brightener. For the cream things I use my fingers to apply and I absolutely love it!

The bronze veil is lighter than what I am used to but it definitely helps the more natural look:)

Again, using the bronze veil on one side, can you see the difference :)?

contouring my nose & face done~!

I don't really care for the blush colors, but I don't really use blush either so I guess it's not really a big deal.. I absolutely LOVE the brighten and luminize cremes! I use them both for contouring my nose bridge and it makes such a difference ! The concealer is not too bad, but since I use this palette mostly to contour I sometimes forget about the concealer haha!

It's definitely on the pricier side but I think it is worth the money. I have a small nose and chubby cheeks so naturally I want to make my nose look higher and my cheeks look smaller, this really helps make that possible, but also very natural! So I'm very happy with this and would definitely recommend!

Have you tried this product? I'd love to hear your experience too!
Feel free to leave a comment :)

I LOVE to tightline!

Hello cutie~! ^__^

today instead of doing my normal reviews, I want to talk about tightlining!
What is tightlining??

"Tightlining, for those who are not familiar, is where you apply eyeliner directly to your lash line, preferably from the underside of the lash line"

I always knew about tightlining, but I was always so scared of poking my eye >< but after watching a lot of makeup gurus do it for their tutorials I decided to give it a shot

Sorry these photos are kind off diff angles and one is zoomed in so my face looks diff><
but i think this is a good example!
Left: Tightlined eye
Right: normal liner

As you can see the tighlined eye...pops out more without having too thick-looking eyeliner :)

After doing tightlining for a while now, I prefer to stick to just lining directly on top of my lash line instead of also doing the underside of the lash line. Because every time I do my underside of the lash line too..if theres too much liner..then I get panda eyes ><..if I just line my lash line, I don't get panda eyes at all and my eyes still look very big and dramatic ^_^ just the way I like it hehe <3

Etude House: Plumping Lip Tint #1 Red & Job's Tears W Patch [Review]

Aloha my cuties~!
Hope you are well ^_^

So lately, I have been OBSESSED with lip plumping things because if I smile too big, my upper lip gets soooo thin it looks really weird >____< so I wanted to find lip plumping lipsticks/stains/etc :)

I went to Etude House to just see if they had anything:
I found a Plumping Lip Tint :))

it kind of reminds of their old lip stains in the same type of packaging

the smell:
omg it was so terrible >< usually Etude House products have this cute, light sweet smell...but this one..omg I gagged a little >< has anyone had liquid medicine that was either "cherry" or "bubblegum" flavour?? but it made you want to gag every time you had to take it ><
that very potent fruity smell was in the gloss ughhh

it has a straight wand
very cut and glossy

There isn't much of a lip plumping factor I think...the gloss also gives a very cooling sensation..I thought that was pretty neat :)

Overall I would rate this

2/5

the gloss didn't last very long at all and I reaaally couldn't stand the smell >< also the lip plumping part that it is marketed as..wasn't really there..so I'm definitely not buying this again..nor do I recommend it >____<

Since the lip plumping tint was really cheap, I decided to also get their little face patches :) I am also interested in getting more collagen or cooling/calming things for my eye baggies >< but instead I decided to get this since they didn't have anything much for under eye baggies :) The patch is supposed to make your skin more bright and less dull, and sooth irritated skin
Directions:
Remove patch from pouch and remove white film
place patch over nose and cheeks and remove blue film
Leave patch for 10-20 min

The patch smelled heavily of alcohol >__< so I was really scared to put it on my skin..the mask felt ok, it was really..watery and slippery but cooling, I left it on for 15 min and my skin felt clean :) so I guess thats good! However not much of a difference in my skin after taking off the patch nor the next morning..

It is definitely fun to try masks and these types of patches for the skin sometimes ^__^ but the smell was quite strong and I didn't care for it >__< also I do not think it was effective at all :((

Etude House: Shining Dream Nails Set - Delight Holiday [Review]

Aloha my lovelies!
So if you remember my review from last year:
You'll basically see the same set up: 3 color nail polishes, that you need to layer 3 times...
...
Etude House basically did a reprise of their "Christmas Miracle" nails, repackaged them into SLIGHTLY different sets, then changed the name haha
It's a smart business move nonetheless, but looking at the sets...
(when I went there was one other set which was a dark blue with silver glitter tips)
they weren't that impressive, and since I already had a blue themed nail set from them I decided to get the more festive look..I think my friend bought the same multicolored polish last year actually haha!
But anyway, in the Delight Holiday set comes three colors:
gold (Delight Gold) , red (Delight Deep Red) , and green&red (Delight Red&Green Pearl)

Considering it's Etude House, the packaging is absolutely adorable!
The little house idea is soo cute! since I've never seen any other brand do this I was so excited when I saw it!...before I analyzed the contents haha!
(not saying the contents are bad..just not that impressed
with the color choices since they are too similar to last years line)
but they did include stickers which was cool!...but again their other sets have that...

a little side note: for those who have read some of my other reviews..and know a little about me, you'll notice that even though I live in Japan right now, I still buy tons of korean makeup...esp. Etude House...if you're asking why..well..it's because the Etude House store gives SO MANY samples! And I can't help but go back whenever I'm in the area! I love korean brands because they give tons of samples! (kind of like sephora!) not many japanese stores do that...partly because most brands rely on drug stores to do most of their selling and they don't really have their own store.. i think ...

ok! enough of my blabbing *sorry* >__<!!!
on to the review!!!

Etude House's new bag! sooo cute!

Packaging for the Shining Dream holiday nails :)
veeeryy cute! I love the house theme! the unique, adorable packaging
totally makes up for the color choices!
contents: 3 nail polishes and a silver sticker sheet! very cute :)

close up of the stickers!

(please ignore my terrible painting skills xwx!! i didn't have q-tips with me at the time to clean!)
I was so surprised by the thickness of the polish!
I thought the color would be similar to last years, I think I remember having to use about 5 or 6 coats!
this one is only 3!! I'm greatly impressed! Etude is stepping uppp!!! >w<!
the dark red reminds me of the red part of a candy cane haha!

since I was thinking about last years set of christmas nails, I thought the second coating (the gold)
would also need more than 3 or 4 coats of polish! I was soo wrong, I only needed one or 2, the gold was very thick, so much glitter x_x! so I messed up on my first two nails haha!
1: my thumb, when I first tested how thick the polish is, first coat
2: my index finger when I made sure to put a VERY light coat
3: index and middle finger after a VERY light first coat
4: all fingers except thumb with very light first coat
5: all fingers except thumb with a very light second coat!

be careful about that gold >w< very thick! but thats good :))

1 coat of the green&red mix polish :), I think I used two coats..but I didn't take a second pic >< sorry!
I even put a cute sticker >w<!!! but even with two top coats..the sticker fell off after the next day or two ><

finally after letting everything dry and getting off the excess:

finished nails :)) I like em!

The house shape box is too adorable!!! and ofc the cute art and girly style is also very cute!

for less than $10 this is a great buy! I really love etude house for their cheap and cute products!

since I was expecting the same troublesome nail polish as last year I was so surprised and happy to find out that Etude House has greatly improved the quality on this polish :)

I think even though the colors were nothing new, the quality of the product was so great! And definitely worth trying out if you have the time! would definitely recommend :))

Thanks for reading ♡ mahalo to you !

if you like the review please follow the blog for more :)) thank you!

Banila Co. Prime Primer Hydrating [Review]

Aloha my lovelies~!
If you didn't already know, I absolutely LOVE the korean makeup brand, Banila co.
It is on the pricier side, their BB cream price could be comparable to probably Smashbox, but the quality is definitely there, and I do not mind paying extra for the good quality!

Banila co.'s packaging is always similar to the "too faced" brand
no complaints, super cute I think!

The thing I like about Banila co.'s products is that they smell sooooo good
a light floral/perfume type smell, not too strong  I think!
I know having scents in products makes it not too good for the skin,
but I'd rather have a nice smelling product then will in turn make my face smell good..
as opposed to a product that will make my face smell bad haha

spread about my hand~!

and my face

after makeup!

after 7 hours! I'm not joking, after a long day of being out; school, friends, hanging out, etc.
I had nothing to worry about ! I think the only thing that faded was my lip tint (Etude House Lip tint)

I've been using this product for a few weeks now, cost me almost $20 ?
but it's really great, as I said, I LOVE Banila Co. products, their cute/elegant packaging and
good quality products are definitely worth the costs!

I usually wear skin cream before I put on any makeup products to avoid them on my skin to protect my skin, but I need to let it dry up first before I put on the primer.

I really like hydrating part of the primer too, I also tried their original primer, they smell quite similar!

Also this primer makes my skin so smooth and matte! and allows my makeup to go on easier! I really love it, no complaints yet :))

I would give this product

I think this product would be great for this winter season since the air will become dry, but I can't see myself wearing it in other seasons ~
