Sugaring ? [Review]

If you read the title and thought this post was going to be about desserts or baking...don't be discouraged! I did too haha (when I first heard of this concept) ! I just recently learned about the concept of "Sugaring" which is basically a different method of hair removal but yet similar to waxing..I really want to try the homemade method of Sugaring since it's so cheap, easy, and I heard that it is not as painful as waxing! I looked up many different websites to look for the recipe and most of them said the same thing so I'm going to go with this recipe:

Ingredients
2 Cups White Sugar
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Water

Simple Enough Right?

Cooking Instructions

So I ended up making the gel..and no matter how hard I tried I just could not get the paste to work....
but I think the gel is easier, it's so very close to waxing - using wax strips like denim or muslin kind, but the best part about the sugaring? You can re-wash the denim or muslin strips to use again!!!...Sounds weird yes but it's just sugar, lemon, and water right? ANDDD you save money!
TIP!
If you are going to use an actual lemon (instead of lemon juice from a bottle) then use a strainer

So first things first! MIX EVERYTHING!

**should've mixed everything in the pot I used to boil everything in....:P
welp...
NEXT! - Boil & Simmer
So the instructions on about.com weren't very clear...so I made the pot get to a boil on med-high then turned the heat low so it could simmer, the about.com instructions said to let it simmer for about 25 min and wait till it changed to an amber color..but I had to wait about 35 min..so i don't think the timer was needed...

Looks about done!
Let it cool for about 10 min!!!

Then place in container to continue cool down process :)

amber ~!

READY TO WAX SUGAR!
**the about.com website suggested using talcum powder or cornstarch and applying it on the area you are about to wax, but I tried with and without cornstarch on my arm and legs and both ways brought the same result so it either doesn't matter or everyone is different I guess :/ ?

wax strip from leg! look at the hair!

leg after the sugaring!

Baviphat: Apple Peeling Gel [Review]

Aloha~! Recently, I bought this Peeling Gel - since I love Asian beauty products hehe >w< I honestly wasn't expecting much, especially since I got it really cheap on ebay but surprisingly this works great :D

Hehehe >////<
I always feel really confident after I actually follow my skin care routine...so forgive the pics of my face TwT
ANYWAY

Baviphat Apple Peeling Gel

I know the peach one is really extremely popular..and I had actually tried the sample of the peach one but...I like apples better so that's why I chose the apple one haha!
Another reason I decided to purchase this is because I really want to get serious about taking care of my skin and I understand that having a product that exfoliates is important ~! Andd~ this is really cheap :) I got it for around $14 on ebay!

The packaging is so cute! It looks like an apple doesn't it >w<?!

Instructions:
After washing the face, apply suitable amount onto the face except for eyes and lip. Gently massage the face for exfoliating then wash off with warm water. About 1-2 times a week.

ew no makeup =w= ewwwww
>___>/

on the inside! comes with a mini spoon! super convenient :)

cuuuute yeah!?

the texture isn't really a gel...it's more like...a smoothie? haha! I can't really explain

application!

o.O

during & after pics!

after~!
my skin feels clean, and soft :)

In conclusion!

Packaging: 5/5

Price: 5/5

Result: 5/5

Overall: 5/5

It is very important to have some kind of product that exfoliates in your skin care routine. Why? Well, the dead skin cells can clog pores and block the essential nutrients in your skin care products from getting deep into your skin and do its' job!  I haven't tried many exfoliants so far but I feel that this is a really decent product, I don't really like that it is strongly scented and there's coloring agent in it..that's not really good for your skin, but I'm only using it once or twice a week and the price is so good!!...So to me it's not that much of a problem :)

Kpop Dance Tutorials ? [Review]

After paying $4.99 for a useless tutorial...I think I'll stick to youtube videos...unless the tutorial I want is not on youtube..and I can't find it ANYWHERE...only then will I resort to going back to kpopdancetutorials...I mean I think it is a great idea and has a lot of potential..but the tutorial I bought [Miss A - Goodbye] ... did not help a BEGINNER like me at all!

So the layout of the website is very user friendly
Artists on the left and very helpful self explanatory buttons on the top - oh an also they are promoting a "VIP Pack" right now - with lots of dances they did and they also gave an explanation about which dances come with this VIP Pack and how the tutorials will work:

Pretty easy and simple right? ....yeah
Well signing up and confirming are both really easy to do and the user friendliness of the entire site was just really appealing to me and was a deciding factor when I bought the tutorial for Miss A's Goodbye

So after buying the tutorial I just had to go back to my account and log in, and then just go back to the video page

As you can see there are 6 options ~~
front view, back view, tutorial, mirrored, slowed mirrored, tutorial mirrored

and that's all fine and dandy and all...but...I honestly feel I could get this for free on youtube..like here ..this FREE video has everything that I already PAID for......and the reason I chose Miss A - Goodbye from the kpoptutorial site was because I didn't care for the other dance previews..Im not a dance expert..but as an audience member...some of the dances were just not up to par..not saying I could do better...but hey put your best foot forward right? Also I tried to practice with the mirrored tutorial and it did not really help because all the instructor did was relay counts...I need explanations clear images...not counts!...as a beginner dancer I need that at the least....

Also what I like about the youtube video is that the instructor will do a section of the dance, then replay that section of the dance at half speed, then after will do that same section at full speed before going to the next section of the dance..also what I like about the youtube instructor is that she thoroughly explains the more difficult moves..and I don't even need to understand korean for her explanations..

So all in all:
 kpopdancetutorial site:  5/5
for user friendliness, I mean come on the graphics are great everything is so easy to find/look for..what more could you ask for?

dance tutorial itself: 2/5
it is a great idea with a lot of potential but some of the dances need to be improved..and there really needs to be explanations with the tutorials...not just counts...I mean, I'm sure that helps with more seasoned dancers..but noobs like me need a little more help T-T so all in all this is user friendly but for a budding dancer..yeah..no....
